The United States Armed Forces is the official name of the United States Military. The United states entered the Second World War, as part of the Allied forces, after Japan bombed the United States Naval Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor in 1941.
During the Second World War, the OSS sent spies behind enemy lines in order to secure intel for the US Military and Allied Forces.
