After reaching a tower of the castle, the soldier waited for Hitler's arrival. When the Führer did arrive, it was noticed that there are three more Hitlers, confirming the existence of his body-doubles. Though the soldier doesn't know on which one is the real Hitler, he used intel that he remembered as a guide. Alternate Timeline[]

Thriller

Hitler with his Zombie Army.

Near the end of the Second World War in 1945, Germany is facing defeat at the hands of the Allies. Unwilling to allow Germany to fall. Hitler takes a final desperate gamble. He uses the Sagarmatha relic to unleash occult forces to raise the dead, as zombies, making him the Vanguard of the Apocalypse.

This comes at a price however, as without all three pieces of the relic, Hitler was not protected from the undead hordes, and he was killed in the process. As a result he became a zombified version of himself, now able to control the Zombies with renewed confidence. Hitler once again intends on conquering the world. He addresses the zombies, in the ruins of a destroyed Berlin, unphased by the attack.

Several members of the Survivor Brigade travel to Hitler's location, and find him addressing the Zombies at a podium. Karl Fairburne sees the opportunity to finish Hitler once and for all, and takes a shot. The bullet is stopped by some psychic influence, showing a degree of his new power. Drawn to the sound of the bullet the Zombies turn to attack the group. But the Sagarmatha Relic is used to force Hitler to stand down. Begrudgingly, Hitler allows the group to leave unharmed.

Hitler moves to the Hellmouth to begin the final preparations to his attack, however the Survivor Brigade return, with the now-complete Sagarmatha Relic. After sending countless zombies after them, none of which killed them, Hitler resorts to finishing them himself, and allows them to get to the Hellmouth, the entrance to Hell. Having summoned a giant demonic version of himself, he summons even more zombies to kill them, however he is eventually defeated, and is grabbed by his giant self before it petrified. Hitler is then thrown into the Hellmouth by the Survivor Brigade, which was then sealed off with the Sagarmatha Relic. However, it proved to be ineffective towards the dead as many still continue to roam around.

Dead War[]

Much later in 1946, it was discovered that Hitler was banished to Hell rather than being destroyed. During his time in forced exile, and with the help of the Hell-Cult, he began to use the realm's energy to establish a new army as well as mass-produce various hell-powered machines. In his personal realm of Thule, he waited in the throne room of his lair as his powers were being restored by the Hell-Cult via a cult ritual. He was later remade by a group of Commanders in Rome via the Agartha Relic, a powerful artifact, just as the new Survivor Brigade squad, including Karl Fairburne, arrived. After the shield that surround Hitler was destroyed, he was shot down, supposedly killed. Unfortunately, however, since his powers were fully restored, Hitler recovered and unleashed a powerful force that sends the Survivor Brigade Squad to Hell.

Adolf Hitler's new zombie form

Hitler attacking the Vatican.

Later, when Hitler arrived at the Vatican on his Hell Machine, a battle ensued between him and the squad, who managed to escape from Hell with the help of Dr. Efram Schweiger, one of the original members of the squad. After a long battle, the Hell Machine was destroyed, but Hitler managed to survive. With no other options left, he resorted to using his powers to create multiple zombie duplicates of himself in an attempt to kill the Survivor Brigade squad. After all of the duplicates were killed, Hitler was left weakened. Knowing that he is going to be killed, he begged for mercy to no avail. After his powers now proved useless against the squad, due to them being in the possession of the Agartha Relic, Hitler was then beaten with said relic, which was then plunged into his heart. This caused his body to get destroyed in the process, leaving only his bones and his intestines. With the Führer's ultimate death, it brought forth the beginning of the end of the Dead War, following the closure of the Hellmouth back in 1945. However, even though Hitler is gone for good, the Hell-Cult remained active.

Trivia[]

  • Hitler Sniper Elite Berlin

Hitler's portrait in Berlin, Sniper Elite.

Hitler uses a Luger as his personal weapon.
  • Hitler is believed to have had only a single testicle. Shooting him in Sniper Elite V2 or Sniper Elite 3 will reveal him to have two, though he will only have one in Sniper Elite 4. This is a nod of the mocking song "Hitler only has one ball" sang by the British troops during WW2.
  • In Assassinate the Führer DLC's mission briefing, it is said that the intel for Hitler's movement was found during Karl's mission in Berlin, meaning that it takes place after the main campaign of Sniper Elite V2. However this would mean either it's a double for Hitler, as he would have already been dead by that point, or his suicide didn't take place.
  • Hitler only has dialogue in Zombie Army Trilogy and Zombie Army 4. Oddly, he only speaks English.
  • In Sniper Elite 5: France, he now speaks full German.
  • In Sniper Elite 3: Afrika, Hitler is wearing a made-up Afrika Korps armband instead of the Swastika armband. This is probably to avoid censorship in countries like Germany.
